I dont think education is ever wasted. Even if you dont directly apply what you have learnt, it leads to intellectual growth, decision making skills, discipline, maturity - which are useful in any profession. It is like teaching yourself to drive a car, or going through a driving school - you might be able to get from point A to point B driving by instinct, but are you really a good driver unless you know the traffic rules?

MBA - passport to success?

I think an MBA degree is highly overrated, and is fine if you want to join a corporate where you are paid to ideate, plan and delegate, instead of doing any actual work. To be a successeful entrepreneur you need to have a certain mindset and not a degree - a fire in your belly, the ability to take quick decisions and action, and not be afraid of getting your hands dirty. Thats not what they teach you in business school.
